University of Taipei:
Fine Arts Female Student Residence Hall

Our concept for a new female student residence hall translates the privacy and protection of the site as primary facade form generator, and connects the two buildings into a larger L-shaped gestures. Natural air ventilation openings along the entire building facade allows for the modulation of both of day light and airflow, maximizing natural light and ventilation to all aspects of the interior. A long, integrated exterior path guides residents to the main entrance, while the central lobby continues into the interior and divides the programme into two clear bands. A new outdoor sculptural exhibition space is also created for the female student residence.
